The bridge De Franeker poort, Harlingen served as one of the six original city gates to the city. The painting was commisioned by the owners of the boat. It was wonderful to meet them hearing how they built the beautiful skuts sailing boat to a traditional design and sailed it all around Europe. Gouache 12″ x 8″ on hot pressed paper.
