Yesterday was a good day at Hope Valley, as I found some aspen in their resplendent glory. The wind storm over the weekend stripped many trees bare making it a bigger drive to find any still intact. 12″ x 16″ oil on linen.

Red flesh figs

These figs are by far the most beautiful fall fruit with their green outer skin and the magenta color fruit on the inside. All these are fruits of the fall, with the figs coming from my friend Patricia and the apples off our tree. So happy to do a real painting again after weeks of painting my front door and staining all the decks – the price you pay for staying away from home so long. I was almost afraid I’d forgotten how. 9″ x 12″ oil on linen.
