Painted at Spooner Lake with Monika Johnson the other day. The aspens were fairly well spent of their fall leaves but the willows were still very colorful. It would be difficult to find a more beautiful location. Oil on linen 12″ X 16″. Open the link to see additional photos of the day.
Yesterday I went to the meadow at Lake Tahoe north of Edgewood Golf Resort to capture what may be the last of the autumn colors. A wind storm predicted on Monday may blow off all these colorful leaves. As you can see, it was a beautiful afternoon! Oil on linen 12″ X 16″.
This red onion really wanted to smell up the room! Had to keep the door open in the studio while painting. 5″ X 7″ oil on linen panel.
At Art in the Open/Ireland we were ferried over to Passage East for the day. This painting followed on the heels of completing another boat scene where I was tormented by a jack hammer blasting right in front of me for hours.. I had to run for the last ferry back to Wexford so finished up the painting at home based on a solid start and my notes of the day.. 12″ X 16″ oil on linen.
This was a beautiful clear sunny day on the canal in Burgundy, France.12″ X 16″ oil on linen
