Started this still life of winter treats fruit, coffee and special violet cookies on my birthday. As a present to myself I got to spend the day painting, finishing it just today. Painted in the house where the lighting was warmer than the studio. Extra special treat is that it is SOLD to a friend!!!! Oil on canvas 20″X24″.
On these wet winter days where rain is a welcome sight in California, there’s nothing like a still life of one of my favorite foods. Dessert is announced ahead of the dinner. There is only so much you can do to stay out of trouble. Oil on canvas 16’X20′.
This still life was fun for me to paint as it included a rose fabric, roses from the garden, Roses Irish tea and best of all Cadbury’s Roses candies from Ireland. At the end I enjoyed a perfect cup of tea and a sweet! Oil on canvas panel 12X16.
Snow, cold and beauty in the winter meadow. Oil on canvas 11X14.
The New Synagogue with winter’s leafless trees standing guard was intentionally a very imposing building even in the dark. We passed this beautiful building on our search for a laundry late one evening. Oil on canvas 20X16 inches.
