Nicasio cows were enjoying the warm summer day. A nice breeze rippled through the hills this day on a farm located on the fringes of the town. The nearby road takes you to Point Reyes town and seashore.
This still life was comprised of flowers from my garden, set up in the kitchen using family heirloom vases. The tiny crystal aperitif glass belonged to my dear sister Dawn. The flowers were rhododendrons, dogwood, butterfly bush sprigs and vine roses.
Captured this squid boat at Fisherman’s Wharf in Monterey Bay as the sun was setting. Several more were at the outside of the harbor.
Finished this painting in two sessions, as the weather came in on day one and I had to stop. The second day was full of hikers and a water man who looked a lot like a ‘Magic Mike’ kinda guy. All were very friendly folks. It was a beautiful day with spring flowers and birds flying all through the marsh.
This South Lake Tahoe day held an exciting stormy sky with a pending shower at any moment. The light was lovely across the meadow to Mt Tallac with black birds and yellow headed western kingbirds calling all around. Caught this one just right, as rain drops became audible nearby I packed up and only got a light sprinkling before the sky cracked open.
