This day felt heavy with heat and very high humidity. I decided to stay on the topsides of the boat painting this still life.  Subtle value changes created a challenge. Since the background offered itself up and not wanting to be ignored, I painted it for fun. Gouache 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ on hot pressed paper.
