View from Nadur to Xaghra from a friend’s rooftop terrace. The almond trees in flower and all the cape sorrel really caught my eye. It was very windy and knew the blossoms would not stay on the trees long. I started out with larger canvas which fell over in the first 10 minutes, so opted for a 12″ x 16″ linen canvas. From this study developed a larger 80 cm x 100cm oil on canvas painting. Both paintings are captured below.
