This was the hottest day of the summer so far for us in France. Sitting in the shade of several huge trees painting this little mixed media sketch in Montherme kept me distracted from the thinking about the heat. Gouache, pen and ink, watercolour pencils on Fabriano paper 21 cm x 29 cm.
