Oudewater Garden Shadows

This town is famous for it’s witches weighing scales and rope making. No witch was ever sentenced here after violation their weight made mounting a broomstick impossible.

This was a record setting hot day at 40.2c so shade was essential. A lovely garden in Oudewater cast shadows across a tiny canal that was fully covered with green algae. Hydrangeas were prolific in this neighborhood. Oil on linen 12″ x 16″.
