On the Vecht

We got stuck on the Spiegel polder as the lock keeper was sick and we could not get out on a Sunday morning. With many hours to kill, I walked around the lock and found this scene of the houses with the different color roofs and a sweet boat at anchor on the Vecht. It is common practice to fly very large Netherlands flags off the stern of the boat. 12″ x 16″ oil on linen.
