We refer to this hillside climb to Xaghra and the cemetary as the slalom. It is very steep and zig zags all the way. I walked down to the start of it on a very windy day and sat on the rubble wall to keep my profile low and lessen exposure while painting. Such fun with people honking horns, stopping to ask about their portrait right there on the hillside of them riding a motorcycle, or expressing their joy at finding me…me! It was a good day. Oil on linen 12″ x 16″.
