Homer Spit

Painting the mountains and glaciers across the Cook Inlet from Homer Spit, Alaska on a very windy afternoon. This painting was a real challenge with limited blues. The Gamblin Ultramarine Blue I purchased in Denver before the trip turned out to be mismarked and was actually quinacrodone violet. 9″x12″ oil on gesso toned Richeson panel.
