This is part of the lovely Grote Markt in Aalst with the Schepenhuis ‘Belfort’ a former city hall dating back to 1225, one of the oldest in the Low Countries. To the left is the Borse Van Amsterdam which was used as the police guard and hotel and now a restaurant. 6″ x 8″ gouache on hot pressed paper.
