After finding this beautiful location in Yountville during a bicycle ride last Sunday, I went back to paint. The fall colors were brilliant! Just as I was totally into the painting the vineyard workers came to trim the vines! I asked if they could do the periphery of the field first, which they kindly did instead of changing everything. All plein air painters can relate to the changing scenery when you go on location. This study will be used for a larger studio painting.  Oil on gesso board.
