Sloten is an historical fortified city in the Friesland province of the Netherlands. This is a morning scene. I stood on the bridge that leads to a Molen (windmill) built in 1755 while painting this canal view. This city actually makes handbuilt windmills here and I had a peek into the shed while they were working. 12″ x 16″ oil on linen.
