The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of Ta’ Pinu is a Roman Catholic minor Basilica near the village of Għarb on the island of Gozo, The church is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin of Ta’ Pinu.

One passerby thanked me for painting the shrine. A young man that volunteers there doing his Masters Degree stopped to tell me the architectural importance of the church. This is a very busy spot being of such importance to all Gozitans and Maltese. It was a pleasure to see such happy people. Oil on canvas 50cm x 70cm.
